Why do I get firefox all ready running
Updated my Mac with Snow Leopard. My firefox icon at the bottom of my screen will not open firefox. I get the message a copy of firefox all ready running. How do I find it? How do I fix this? Thank you.

Sometimes when you tell Firefox to close, part of it does not shut down. On Windows, there is a program called Task Manager. This can be used to shut down programs that otherwise will not close properly. I do not know what it is called on Mac, but you may have something like Task Manager.

See:

You can try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
