I have Windows 8. When Firefox updates it will not let me access the internet.
Every time I update Firefox and reopen it, I cannot access the internet. I have to use System Restore to be able to get it to work again. I have Norton Internet on a few computers that have Firefox. This is the only one that has problems. So I don't think the problem is with Norton.
I'm just about ready to get rid of Firefox even though it's the best browser.
Please help. This has been going on for some time now.

Sorry Timekear..... This problem occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again:
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.

I also have Norton internet Security on my other computer (Windows 7) and have no problems updating Firefox. I also see that there is no information on how to disable the firewall for Norton Internet Security. I've gone to their website but they have all different products and it's not easy finding how to disable it.
Thank you. I appreciate your help.
