Trying to sync a new Windows 7 computer with the Sync account on my old XP

The instructions I find in FF help, to find the required "recovery key" instruct me, on the computer that already has my sync account, to "click the Firefox button...at the top of the Firefox window". But on that computer, there is no Firefox button on the FF Home screen or any other page I can find (FF v. 27.0.1 on a laptop running Windows XP). This process seems dauntingly complex. Can anyone help?

With the menu bar visible you can find Sync in the Tools menu and also in "Tools > Options > Sync".
