Hi
I have several different email accounts. All but one are working fine. But my primary account is continuously unresponsive and freezes. This has been going on for several weeks now and today I can't get that account to work at all.
I'm on Windows 11 and have tried re-starting my laptop in Safe Mode but the freezing persists. I've tried turning off Windows Defender - it makes no difference and I don't have any other anti-virus running.
I have 450 emails in my Inbox and don't want to lose any of them or my address book. I do back up each week.
Not very tech savvy and no clue how to sort the issue out.
All help appreciated.

Greetings, I installed the Layup Android app in July 2024 then a few weeks later, certain websites have been automatically opening in the default Firefox browser Android app. Here are some examples: 1. GIRLS - Play GIRLS Games at Games.domaingameu.com - https://h5.domaingameu.com/games?type=parkour&t=BrAr13rruLXgzjC2Mukl3YAWJB0Wrlzxm2g2baIXND2lpbdvmZqzbkDgIqe-4d5ddaHImn52FjbSuzOwuV90jb1r51VR84SlCkByBx6C6bfeWPY_Ca-u2X_WISE7gw3Oe-5wLWrtOkg6dedyMegY0vA-lgQW219QEFCVewKBXx7MeqD7yL6jM4-M0VX6zon2wPoDyyyxa0rJczvf 2. h5.domaingameu.com - https://h5.domaingameu.com/games?type=parkour 3. 3D - Play 3D Games at Webgame.budgyinfo.com - https://webgame.budgyinfo.com/games?type=3D
I have since uninstalled the Layup app and deleted the browser data, but these sites are still opening in the browser even when my cell is idle. Please advise how to block these domains or another remedy. Greatly appreciated

Common Myths about Private Browsing Firefox Last updated: 1/22/24 87% of users voted this helpful
Private Browsing is a useful feature of Firefox, but only if you understand the protection it offers. It helps you keep your online activity private from others who use Firefox on the same computer, but it won't make you invisible online. Myth 1: Private Browsing makes you anonymous on the Internet
Reality: Private Browsing does not mask your identity or activity online. Websites and internet service providers can still gather information about your visit, even if you are not signed in. If you use your device at work, your company may be able to monitor the websites you visit. If you surf the Web at home, your cable company (or their partners) may have access to your browsing information. Only a Virtual Private Network (VPN) can mask your location and encrypt your online activity, keeping your identity and data safe from prying eyes. If you need to stay anonymous online, try Mozilla VPN. Myth 2: Private Browsing removes all traces of your browsing activity from your computer
Reality: Private Browsing works by letting you browse without saving passwords, cookies and browsing history in a Private Window. If you download a file from a website, it will remain on your computer, but it will not appear in the download manager in Firefox. If you bookmark a website while in a Private Window, it will remain in your bookmark list. Myth 3: Private Browsing doesn’t display any browsing history
Reality: Private Browsing will, by default, display visited sites and bookmarks as you type in the address bar. Firefox saves these pages during normal browsing. If you don’t want to see these suggestions, you can deselect them in your Firefox Settings Privacy & Security panel under Address Bar.
privacy preferences 65
Myth 4: Private Browsing will protect you from keystroke loggers and spyware
Reality: Private Browsing does not protect you from malware installed on your computer. If you suspect you have malware, take steps to remove it to prevent it from happening again.

Recently Firefox has been randomly crashing the past 3 weeks multiple times, Is anyone else having this odd issue ? I'll be watching a stream or youtube video and bam out of no where the Browser goes black for like 20 or 30 seconds then crashes. I sent in about 3 crash reports and wondering if the Firefox team is aware of this issue.

I get speeds around 10 Mb but every so often I get buffering for seconds and speed drops to around 1 Mb and a few Kb upload. Panning my cctv cameras can vary from a delay of 0.5 scs to several seconds. Three years ago my estate was told that high speed fibre would be available but we are still waiting (we are only 100mtrs from the Plympton exchange.) There is no response whatsoever from OpenReach and it says no update is planned now.
How can I find out what is happening.? if I am not going to get fibre then I will cancel my contract and switch to 5G.

Hi folks!
When I connect my Feedly RSS to Thunderbird's RSS subscription, I can't receive any new messages. In addition, I can't see the old messages in the folders. I couldn't find any way to solve this problem (for those who use Feedly).
When adding an RSS Feed, I don't get any valid URLs, I add it via Feedly "Organize Feeds ---> OPML Export ---> Download Export file" and then via Thunderbird "Feed subscripts ---> Import ---> My OPML file".
Thunderbird correctly reads all RSS feed URLs, file names, folder contents when I add this file. I save it and thinking it works and everything is fine. However, when I click "Get new Messages", no messages come through. I check the Feedly website a few minutes later to see if there are any new messages and I can see the new messages in Feedly.
In order to solve the problem and make it more understandable screenshots are below.
Thank you for your help, best!

As a hardcore Firefox fan, I've recently noticed an issue with video playback on Facebook. When I play a video on Facebook, it freezes after a few seconds, but the audio continues playing. The same issue occurs on YouTube as well. I already have H264ify installed and have tried all the solutions available on the internet. What should I do?
Here are my specifications: Firefox 132.0.2, Windows 10 (64-bit), 8 GB RAM.

So for example i watch video on youtube (doesn't matter, it happens on every site), and i want to skip 5 seconds, i press the arrow key and the video rewinds, BUT the sound is glitching a little bit, until these 5 seconds are rewinded, and its very annoying. Same sound glitch happens on BSOD, audio is just repeat last millisecond of itself. so how do i fix it? i dont have thins thing at other browsers, and also this glitch doesn't appear in every session, sometimes everything is ok, but not always

Hello there! I'm a relatively new Firefox user that started using it around a month ago. The main reason is that it's currently the only browser that has smooth video streaming across other browsers I tried when I also do more demanding things on a secondary screen. However, since I started using it, I am facing a weird issue, where I am being randomly disconnected from chat on twitch.tv channels. It mostly happens on chats that are offline - but are still actively used by others - and sometimes, but rather rarely, happens on chats that are online but are slower - the error also seem to be different on those. It always looks like this: I connect to chat, use it just fine, then suddenly I get the message on the bottom saying "Connecting to chat". It usually takes a second, maybe two tops to reconnect. I have checked the page using Inspect function, and noticed an error that appears when those reconnections occur: "The connection to wss://irc-ws.chat.twitch.tv/ was interrupted while the page was loading". But the page is loaded already. I didn't refresh it or anything like that. So what gives? I have tested other browsers - Edge, Chrome, Opera - however it seems that the problem is Firefox-centric. The same chat on the aforementioned apps do not have the same problem while Firefox is happily reconnecting me here and there. I have tried clearing cache and cookies, I also tested in private mode without extensions, and in Troubleshooting mode, but to no avail. I also did a full Refresh of the browser, but the error returned after a day. I am attaching some screenshots that I did during the investigation for documentation. I was in contact with my ISP and Twitch Support, but on both ends was told that no problems were found. And so I am coming to the direct Firefox support. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello,
after update of window 11 to 24H2, Firefox keeps crashing on start. I completed deinstalled Firefox, rebooted and installed again, no effect. I switched off hardware acceleration and all add-ins and selected system theme, no effect. No crash occurs when started in troubleshoot mode. I did a clean-up (in troubleshoot mode), no effect. What should I do now? Where is the error log?

I'm trying to measure power consumption in Firefox using automation. My goal is to get power consumption metrics for specific webpage loads.
What I've tried: 1. Using Puppeteer with Firefox's profiler:
- Enabled power profiling preferences - Used the Profiler CDP commands - Got profile data but no power metrics
I know Firefox DevTools has power profiling capabilities in the Performance panel, but I need to access this programmatically. Is there a way to: 1. Access the same power metrics that Firefox's Performance panel shows? 2. Get power consumption data through Firefox's debugging protocol or any other API? 3. Enable and collect power profiling data in an automated way?
Any guidance on the correct approach would be greatly appreciated!

A few months ago after an update to Firefox the window would open but be transparent with no controls visible. I tried the refresh Firefox option which worked but left other problems. A website has a medium blue header at the top with white fonts (links) on it, which still appear that way in Chrome and Opera, but since the refresh the header is black with black fonts in Firefox (which of course you can't see). There are also variations of this problem on some other other websites. The only way I can see links on those sites is to set color management to override 'always'. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks Mike

I've used Norton Safe Search on FireFox for years with no problem. But few weeks back, when I use Safe Search, it does no longer brings back the green checks indicating the site is safe. It works with Edge, but not with FireFox. I've contacted Norton and still waiting to get a response. Anyone have idea as to what is going on and how to fix it?
thanks -
