Repeated crashing of Adobe Flashplayer, message stating that it is being blocked . Upgrading does not solve the problem. Also receiving message that Shockwave is not working and actually removed it from my computer and still getting error messages.

I am so frustrated that I am considering removing Firefox from my computer.

Firefox is just a browser that rides the web. Things like media and others are handled by other programs like Abode. It is up to those programers to keep up with newer Firefox versions as they come out.

Seems that Firefox created the problems and now expects everyone else to fix it. I can't use my computer with the constant crashing and freezing, so will have to try another browser. Recommend Firefox try working with, not against what most people need to use on their systems.

I have not the time to say much at the moment but I will point out many recent update issues are not Firefox changes but a seires of security issues with Adobe FlashPlayer, and a series of fixes from Adobe released for Flash Player.

If you have removed and do not use FlashPlayer then that should not be something you need to be concerned with.

If you are having Firefox crashes and they were causedby FlashPlayer that problem should go away if you uninstall Flash Player. The Firefox blocking of FlashPlayer is something you can opt to ignore, and only happens if you are using an old outdated Flashpalyer with a serious security flaw. (When I say old it may be just a few days old. Some of Adobe's security fixes have been days apart).

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Definitely i AGREE with John

flash player is maybe the bigger problem for firefox users in a couple of years at least. Developers working hard from November 2012 for that trying to make a similar program, probably it is not so easy to create a similar program so soon without problems.

You can see in the next link the Shumway project : http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/

We hope the work of developers for that project to give us positive results soon.

thank you
