When I try to go to a webpage link, I get a message that the page I am asking about is a "Bad request"

What are you trying to get to if it is a public page not requiring a login please give the link you are trying to use.

Try clearing your cookies for the site concerned, and use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F5 to use new cache files.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

  • check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
