Where do I change my stored password for my accounts? I already changed it with my provider, gmail, I can't find where to edit it in Tbird.

This is crazy. I'm looking in Account Settings -> Security and there isn't a field for password. Am I blind or crazy? I changed my gmail password and now I need to change it in Tbird. The only workaround I can think of is to delete the account and create it again. To be clear:

I set up Thunderbird to access multiple gmail accounts. I changed one of my gmail passwords with Google. That part is done. Now I need to update Thunderbird to use the new password without first sending the old password, getting a message that it's wrong, entering the new password, and doing a 2nd authentication with gmail.

I think you're overstating the problem with submitting an old password to Google.
