Install an older version of Firefox I do not recommend using older versions because of the security issues.

The ancient download manager dialog was finally removed in Firefox 26*. Over the years there have been a variety of add-ons that you might find better than the toolbar arrow/panel approach. I haven't used any myself but found these in a search:

* By "finally removed" I mean that in Firefox 20-25, there was an about:config preference to restore the old dialog.

Sometimes Firefox reports the wrong version because that information was saved in a preferences file. See: How to reset the default user agent on Firefox.

Anyway, neither version 20, 25, or 34 is secure; Mozilla discloses security flaws after each new release.

If something is holding you back from upgrading to Firefox 47, please let us know so we can suggest solutions or workarounds.

Looks like you are intentionally using old versions of Firefox

/questions/1118211#answer-900882 ... really? because i've had absolutely no trouble with it, even with removing all the Googley spyware settings for safe browsing, etc. ...
