As of last night, Firefox will not allow me to browse and locks up. I've reinstalled, I've refreshed. Nothing is working. Suggestions?

No matter what site I try to go to, Firefox locks up. I have tried refreshing. I have tried an update. I have tried uninstalling. I have tried changing versions. Nothing is working. I would appreciate assistance because I use Firefox as my browser for my business.

Sorry to hear about this problem. Could you describe the problem in more detail: Do you get some part of the page loading and then it never finishes, or nothing loads at all, or you get a slow script warning, or you get (NOT RESPONDING) in the title bar?

It completely locked up any time I tried to browse. It did not matter the site. If I tried to change a setting, it also locked up.

I was able to resolve this myself. Here is what I did.

I removed all instances of Mozilla programs. I completely Shut Down my computer (not just a Restart) I restarted my computer I deleted a folder on my desktop called "Old Firefox files" I emptied my recycle bin I reinstalled the 64-bit version of Firefox

There we go. It is now working properly. I hope that it does not happen again.

Please consider turning on send info to Mozilla before posting a question. This helps us help you. If had we would have had the below info: We have no idea what Extensions your running which could cause issues. No idea of video card and drivers that could cause issues. Nor do we know what version of Firefox you had nor what version you installed. Flash version

Did you install from a Stub installer (5-6megs) or the Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Also should have checked here and sent if there was one : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support
