After changing my Telus (Canadian ISP) email account from Pop to Imap, the server (Webmail and my mobile phone) will not automatically delete inbox items once they have been downloaded to TBird on my home computer. If I manually delete emails from the server, they get deleted at the same time from TBird. I don't want anything deleted from TBird on my home computer until I decide to do it manually, one-by-one. What is the setting I need to tell the Telus server to delete emails once they are downloaded? Telus says there is nothing they can do, that it is a Mozilla issue. Thanks.

Well at !east your provider is correct there is nothing they can do about it. Too bad they are to stupid to tell you that is how IMAP works. Google IMAP vs POP and learn how the 2 protocols work and how they differ.
