When I delete a large number of files TB continually displays dialog box:

Unresponsive Script:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:2113

The dialog is displayed over and over each time it is dismissed, and the file deletion never terminates.

I discovered a work-around / solution:

Notice the dialog mentions "folderPane.js" so I figure it relates to the the "view". I went into View->Layout and unchecked "Message Pane" which displays a preview of the current message. I selected message pane rather than file pane because the message pane actually displays message content.

The problem instantly went away - hundreds of eMails deleted immediatly with no delay at all.

Don't know why this worked. I speculate that it has something to do with the eMail content invoking a Chrome browser feature to display something when it is deleted. But I don't know.
