How do I hide tabs in full screen mode?
When I enter full screen mode the tabs and search box do not auto-hide. I cannot find a setting that will let me do this - although I assume it is possible. I want the content of the website to take over the full screen and hide all of the browser chrome.
I'm running Firefox on a Mac.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.

HI, current version is 61.0.1
Every-time you enter full screen mode on let's say Youtube then it is suppose to go full screen and not display the tabs or bars.
Suggest backup :

Uninstall and delete all Mozilla Folders except for your Profile Reinstall Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Are you using Command+Shift+f (or Full Screen on Firefox's menu), or is this a problem with a button in a page (e.g., on a video player)?
For the first case -- "browser full screen" -- if the cursor is in the address bar then the whole toolbar area doesn't hide. Even after you move the cursor, it doesn't hide. It's just stuck. You need to exit full screen then enter it again after moving the cursor to the page.
Hmm, also, it's unlikely this setting is wrong, but just in case:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste FULLS and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If the browser.fullscreen.autohide preference is bolded and "modified" or "user set" to false, double-click it to restore the default value of true
I'm using Command+Shift+f to enter full screen, and autohide is set to true. I'm going to try the full install. I'll let you know if that works.
