I can not access any of my messages on one of my SMTP/IMAP accounts.
I recently added an SMTP/IMAP email account to Thunderbird. Due to the private mail server I had to configure access to the mail manually, but the authentication was successful. However, I can not read any of the messages on the mailbox. The counter of messages in the INBOX folder appears next to it (and the number displayed matches the number of unread messages), but I am unable to see any messages by clicking on it. Searching for messages by keywords also does not find anything.
I also set up this account in Claws Mail on PC and BlueMail on Android with the same configuration and authentication details and on these clients the mail works normally (I have access to all messages).
I tried to repair the INBOX folder, or even a fresh installation of Thunderbird, but it did not help.

Are you connecting with SSL/TLS and or using a self signed certificate?
DO you have an anti virus on the device hosting the mail program (the same device you are setting up Thunderbird on?)
Often Anti virus programs basically choke on the use of the adapter loopback address. either described as "localhost" or as 127.0.0.1 While use of these things in the unix world is common. Windows most common uses for them is malware.
Have you tried clearing the error log and checking to see if there are any interesting errors reported when you get mail on that account? (ctrl+Shift+J)
To this one server I have to connect via SSL/TLS and PLAIN password. The first attachment shows analogous, working configuration from the Claws Mail program for that (which is nothing special at all). Those are SSL certificates and are not well-known, so I had to manually verify them in Claws Mail to be able to use my mail account.
For now, I am trying to configure e-mail clients in Windows 10. With each configuration change and failure, I completely disable antivirus protection to check if it is the source of the problem.
I must admit that I was too stupid to guess that the Thunderbird console is launched in the same way as in Firefox. In the console when I tried to connect to the server I found the following error:
"Server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555"
I will immediately inform the administrator of the mail server about this issue, however, it seems to me that this is not cause of this problem, because, as I understand it, in the default configuration Thunderbird ignores this fact (and if I'm not mistaken, the appropriate setting from my Thunderbird configuration I posted on the second screen shot).

yeah that error is not going to stop anything. Yahoo has had it for a very long time. But their buggy mess has much bigger issues than that.
What is the server name you are connecting to.
Note that Thunderbird and Windows and android all have different way of approaching SSL certificates issues by Symantec. Thunderbird will not accept them. Windows is happy with them and Android is somewhere in the middle. So it would be good to test the mail server. https://www.htbridge.com/ssl/
