Cannot delete account on forums
When I created an account on the forums, I had no idea my email address was going to be used as the username... My email address contains my full name, so now my username is my full name (not so good for privacy...). Since I can't change the username, I thought I'd just delete the account, however when I try to delete it I just get
"An Error Occurred Oh, no! It looks like an unexpected error occurred. We've already notified the site administrators. Please try again now, or in a few minutes."
I've tried a few times, still no luck. Does anyone have any insight into how I can delete that account? Or can get this resolved promptly? (I'm posting from a new account I made with a different email address).

I'm Kiki, community manager on SUMO. There was an issue with account deletion in our platform (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/713625). I can see the PR has been merged, but I know some people still experience the issue. Unfortunately, our only developer is currently out of office returning next week.
In the meantime, I can also help you to deactivate your account from my side. Like Tyler said, just send me a PM from your old account to confirm if you're the rightful owner of that account.
However, we can also wait for our developer to come back next week to clarify the account deletion issue. It's up to you to decide. (:

If this is what you are talking about, then you don't have to worry, cause only you can see that and nobody else.
No, what I'm talking about is both in the URL and also in parentheses on the user profile. For example when I view your profile the URL is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/McCoy-thereal, and I can see "McCoy-thereal" on the page. In both these spots, this is the username from my email address (...which is my name) . I tried changing the email address on the account, which was successful, except neither of these places changed.
You can only edit the display name that shows in the panel next to the question. The user name that is part of the URL that shows when you hover the name can only be changed by an administrator.
Note that the Firefox Account uses an email address and not a user name for the name part, so do not get confused.

Your current user name of the account you used for this question is 'pixelkittenpixie' and that doesn't include an email address, so if that is correct then nothing needs to be changed.
The username that appears as part of the url is indeed the problem. As you've pointed out, the user name for this account is pixelkittenpixie. I never set that, it was taken from my email address (ex: pixelkittenpixie@domain.com). This is problematic for the first account I made as the email used was myfullname@domain.com, so thus the publically visible username was 'myfullname'. If an admin can assist me with either deleting or changing the original account it would be much appreciated. I had figured deleting would be easiest.

to your rescue.
It may take a while though (different time zones/office hours etc.)
