DOLSZOWY,

  1. Click the menu button and select Settings.
  2. In the General panel, go to the Applications section.
  3. Search for the Content Type mailto and select it.
  4. Click on the Action column in the mailto row to change the action.

You probably are familiar with mailto links, for example, bob@example.com. Firefox needs a custom message compose URL to generate a new message to bob@example.com on webmail sites like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook. When a page includes a special tag identifying its message compose URL, and you have not already added it to your list of available mailto handlers, Firefox displays the bar you mentioned:

I don't remember whether there is a way to prevent Firefox from doing that, but in my opinion, if you use Outlook as your email site, you should add it. This will simplify using mailto links and also would enable using the Email Link feature to share the title and URL of the current page in a new message (there is an optional toolbar button for Email Link in the Customize panel, Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars).

No application is installed, it's just a URL Firefox adds to the handlers.json file in case you want to use Outlook for mailto links. Here's what get added to the file:

Anyway, as I said, I don't know how to remove the message without adding that URL. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
