I tried posting this before but didn't receive a response. How do stop: https://masbay.z10.web.core.windows.net/werrx01USAHTML/?bcda=1-808-232-xxxx# from popping up on screen? I've tried every program I could think of ... malwarebytes, antivirus programs, rootkit removal programs, quick scanners, etc. I uninstalled FireFox and reinstalled it. Every time I think it's resolved, it comes back. And I notice it's always popping up in FireFox. Any suggestions? Thanks. Dave

Where are you downloading your Firefox Browser from? From the sound of it that doesn't seem like it's a actual Firefox repository where you download real Firefox Browser from.

I swear I have seen this posted before though your other thread is not related to this.

Are these by chance small popups on bottom right corner of Firefox window? if so then they may be web push notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. Unfortunately sometimes they can be fake virus alerts or fake McAfee alerts or other junk instead of useful notifications from the site. You can revoke the site from sending you notifications.

To Mark ... thanks but I downloaded the files directly from the Mozilla website.

To James ... thanks. I printed the instructions from the link and will get a hold of my friend and try the suggestions. I don't know what else to do beyond wiping her system and doing a fresh install. I've been doing this for 30+ years and never seen such a 'persistent' pop up ... I can get it to go away but it comes back.

I tried James' suggestions and the problem still exists.

If anyone else has any other suggestions, please send them to me. Otherwise, I'll wipe my friend's computer and do a fresh install.

I have 30+ years experience dealing with PC and related issues, and I've 'thrown' everything I know at this and it still comes back.  :-( I'm more hardware than software but I can usually figure out stuff like this. I'm stumped.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Dave
