firefox continues to have stability problems with google.com and gmail.
none of your suggested solutions offered during the past several months have resolved the problem of firefox 3.63-3.68 disengaging from gmail and google on a daily, and random, basis. [i even tried disabling every add-on and plug-in, and the problem keeps recurring.]
i cannot function as a writer when this message shows up randomly every single day:
"The connection was interrupted The connection to www.google.com was interrupted while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
other than try your suggestions, it's not not my job to fix it. if it's up to me, why should i stick with it, rather than move on?
perhaps, you should request that users donate $1-$2 a year to mozilla in return for fixing recurring problems like this. or, charge for the bloody thing with support that works for its customers [now there's an idea!].
anyway, thanks for your attention to this, and kudos to the volunteers who keep trying.
regrettably, tho, at least for this user, it's not working.

Hello.
If running Firefox in safe mode, having ticked the Disable all add-ons box at startup, doesn't make the problem go away, can you please try it in a new (temporary) Firefox profile and see if the issue is still present? See this article to know how to create a new Firefox profile. Please report back the results.
