You have Java 1.6.0.21 installed which is the latest version. However, it appears you need to change a setting in Java:

  1. Open Java Control Panel: Windows Start>Settings>Control Panel>Java
  2. On the Java Control Panel, click the Advanced tab
  3. Expand or double click Java Plug-in
  4. Click in the box to place a check mark for "Enable the next generation Java Plug-in"
  5. Restart Firefox

You need to update your plug-ins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:

  • Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53

Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

  • Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
  1. Update Shockwave Flash

If you follow the link in the article (last item in the Update Flash instructions that I posted above), you will avoid any problems associated with getplus. The link supplied in the article takes you to a download at Adobe where you avoid getting that.

For the download error -228 see:
