Like in a youtube video in the description box if you click on a link it opens it in a new tab but lets you stay watching the video without switching back. Well i want to know how you do that with just any website.

You can check:

  • Tools > Options > Tabs: [ ] "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"

If that setting is correct then it is possible that an extension changes that behavior.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
