Firefox 4.0.1 on Windows. I cannot drag the URL icon to the bookmark toolbar (the "not allowed" slash through circle appears when I try). Nor can I add the bookmark to the bookmark toolbar by bookmark a page and selecting bookmark toolbar from the dropdown. I've tried restarting FF, still doesn't work. So my bookmark toolbar is completely useless. Very frustrating.

Open the Bookmarks Sidebar - {Ctrl + b}- and then open the Bookmarks Toolbar folder in that Sidebar. Then see if you can drag the website image into the Bookmarks Toolbar folder in the Bookmarks Sidebar.

BTW, you should also be able to drag the website image from the 'Tab. See if that works better than dragging from the Location Bar.

Good idea, but it didn't quite work. I can drop it in, but it doesn't show up on the bookmark toolbar. :(

And draging the icon from the tab onto the toolbar opens up the page in a new browser.
