Is there a place on firefox to diable compatibility mode. I have disabled windows vista, but still cannot open an app that tells me I need to do this.
I cannot open BaseCamp, a Garmin product. After updating the software it will no longer open. The box indicates that I need to disable compatibility mode, my windows platform was already set that way. Is there a compatibility mode on firefox I need to disable.

You have malware installed which is probably the culprit. Click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Plugins and disable "My Web Search".
I'd advise you to update your plugins as well because outdated versions expose your system to exploits. You can use the Plugins Check page to determine what you need to update.
Did Garmin suggest the workaround mentioned here by any chance? Using Basecamp RSS feeds in Firefox
I performed the recommended changes, it did not help.
Firefox doesn't have its own compatibility settings.
Did you make sure that all check-boxes on the Compatibility tab of the Firefox desktop shortcut and the Firefox.exe file in the Firefox program folder are unchecked ?
Yes, I insured that all files are unchecked for compatibility mode. BaseCamp tech help is going to hook up with me Tuesday, I will post information after that.
