i think firefox upgraded a couple of days ago when i noticed this problem.. CTRL T doesn't work, neither does clicking the + at the end of the tabs. i can't open a new blank tab, but if i right-click a link and open in a new tab, the new tab/link opens, and i use that instead.

i've shut down / restarted / reset the desktop. nothing. i haven't installed anything new in recent weeks.

help. thanks.

Users have reported that the Ask toolbar can cause this problem. You can try disabling or removing it on your Add-ons list:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category

Or search here for Ask Toolbar for more info.
