after I uninstall sortfix it still is my default search engine. How do I get rid of it completly?
I uninstalled sortfix as an add on. Yet it still appears when I search. I reinstalled it. Used it then removed it a 2nd time in hopes of having it go away. No luck it is still my default search. Can you help me get rid of this beast?
thanks John

You may need to reset a preference:
- type about:config in the URL/Location bar and press Enter
- accept the warning message and continue (promise to be careful)
- in Filter type keyword.URL
- on that pref in lower panel, right-click on that preference and choose "Reset"; it should now show a value for google.com
- you may or may not need to restart Firefox
- Test with a new search from the URL/Location bar (where you normally enter a site address) and press the Enter key
