Unable to edit bookmarks when I add them
When I use the star icon in the address bar, I am unable to click twice to edit the name and folder of the bookmark, as stated here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-bookmarks#w_how-do-i-change-the-name-of-a-bookmark-or-pick-where-its-stored A second click does nothing. Similarly, when I use the dropdown bookmark menu on the far right and select "Bookmark This Page", I am unable to specify the name or folder.
How do I specify the name and folder of my new bookmark without manually editing it after the fact?

Did you try the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes) ?
In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

You only need to click once on the yellow highlighted star to get the Edit dialog.
If you click twice then you toggle it immediately off.
You only need to click twice if the link isn't bookmarked yet and the star is faded.
Clicking once does not bring up the Edit dialog. Clicking twice does not toggle it off. Nor does double clicking do anything.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Indeed, I am able to edit newly added bookmarks in Safe mode. However, when I manually disabled all my Add-Ons and restarted, the problem persisted. Is there anything that Safe Mode does besides disabling Add-Ons? Thanks much for the continuing support!

Thank you! Indeed, it was the hardware acceleration that was causing the problem. I never would have guessed that. I will try to update my graphics driver.
