Could you mention where you see the message that you should upgrade?

If you are using the "old" Firefox home page (http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.moz...), there is a hardcoded message there below the search box that doesn't actually change even after you upgrade. Please just ignore that message.

By the way, the new Firefox home page is the internally generated page about:home which has a row of handy shortcuts at the bottom.
