Error 413 appears when trying to login at "support.lenovo.com/en_ca/". 'The requested resource does not allow request data with "Get" requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.' Lenovo says that their website is OK. Using Internet Explorer the connection is made without any problem. The Deutsche Telekom confirmed that using IE gives no problems. And they confirmed that they get the same error when they try to make the connection using FireFox. So the problem seems to be by Mozilla FireFox.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies. Also check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Please update to the current Firefox 30 release.

  • Help > About Firefox

The Firefox 24 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.

  • It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.
