My Thunderbird stopped downloading my gmail accounts all at once one day. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, and when I go to add the accounts, I keep getting some error message about how my user name or password is wrong, so I can't re-link my gmail accounts. I've logged onto those accounts using a web browser and had no problems with either the user name or password, so they CAN'T be wrong. Has anyone else had this issue? Really like TB so I'd like to get it back up and running, any help would be appreciated.

thousands have had the issue. It is on most cases the firewall component in your anti virus program is blocking Thunderbird from access to the net. Probably your very fist no download issue was the same cause.

Check your anti virus and ensure Thunderbird has full access to the internet
