I use Verizon Yahoo. All worked well when suddenly Thunderbird would not accept my password giving me the following error message: "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server incoming.yahoo.verizon.net responded: (#AUTH012) Incorrect username or password"

However, password is good because I can log on and get my email from the Verizon Yahoo web page.

Problem is solved. Verizon-Yahoo never informed me to change the User ID in my account settings from xxxxxx to xxxxxx@verizon.net, i.e., simply add the @verizon.net to your User Name in the Server Settings page.
