Some of my plug-ins are blocked due to security problems. When I click on "update now", it takes me to a page explaining why it has been blocked. There it says "Affected users should go to the plugin check page and update to the latest version." The plug-in check page is precisely where I've come from, and there seems to be no button for updating other than what took me to such an informative page.

Specifically, which plugins need to be updated?

I'm sorry, how's that relevant? There's a problem with the button that's supposed to update, unless there's some other button elsewhere which I don't see.

You should be able to find the plugins at their source and download from there. I find that usually works better. Flash: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html Silverlight: http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx The other plugins I use are specific for Mac OS, not Windows.
