When the downloadhelper icon animates, I click on it as usual if I want to capture. The button operates normally, displays the video name and I click quick download. Nothing downloads, the library says no downloads for this session. However there is an icon in my download folder, but nothing plays -- there is no download. Everything works fine, except there is no download. Version 36?

See the downloadhelper website for an updated version of their add-on.

My downloadhelper version is 4.9.24 the latest version. I also have firefox 36, which is also the latest (this week) release or version. I'm not the most intelligent person in the world, but I just don't think it's the download helper. But thanks anyway.

It's a BETA. Oh well.

If you look at the end of the About this Add-on section at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/ ... you will see that the add-on developer is aware of downloading issues when using Firefox 36 and is working on a solution.

I was aware the developer is aware of issues using firefox 36 -- that's why I asked you guys in the first place. That it was an issue with 4.9.24 not working with firefox 36. I'll use the 5.0 BETA version and I'll get off your backs.

I wasn't sure what you meant by It's a BETA. Oh well. when I posted my comment, linking to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/ and mentioning the About this Add-on section.

Thanks for the followup, that you are using the 5.0 BETA version of the add-on. It may be helpful to others reading this thread.

Thank YOU. I didn't say I was happy. I said I'm using the BETA.
