Whenever I open my incognito mode tab my gmail account is still signed in from my last usage. That wasn't the case before the update,I used to get a fresh window with no login of any sort. So I presume that incognito is not working properly since it's auto-logging you into your last logged account details-which should never happen in incognito mode. Kindly look into the matter.

Are all Private Browsing mode tabs and windows closed when this happens?

Firefox keeps one cookie jar that is shared among all Private Browsing mode tabs and that only gets flushed if all PB mode tabs are closed.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
