The plug in check page keeps on searching and never populates a list of plug ins to be updated

I can no longer watch videos because my Flash is out of date. I follow the links to update plug ins - but it won't populate a list to even get to step 1. It simply continues to spin. I'm totally bummed because I don't want to have to switch browsers.

Please go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download and install the latest Flash player (ensure that Firefox is closed while you install it). Please note that 3 more critical security holes were exposed in flash over the weekend, and thus Flash is still vulnerable to attack. Adobe will be releasing an update this week to address these new issues.
