downloads in windows 10 don't seem to be getting scanned if I use Firefox or Chrome browsers, but with microsoft'

browsers it shows the scan of the file before allowing it to open. This is using windows defender for the anti-virus.(windows default)

Some users found that having Firefox do the scan causes problems, and disabled it. Most anti-virus will scan new files by default.
