How do I remove the History Sideframe?

Hi, just a problem getting rid of the History/Search side frame so that I can see the full width of web pages.

It also becomes a secondary web page, but of course only half of it. any ideas?

Do you mean that the history sidebar stays open and you can't close it with the close X?

Can you close this sidebar with the Ctrl+H keyboard shortcut?

Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:


Can you attach a screenshot if the above didn't help?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB
