During YouTube and other videos, I must use earphones to hear the volume. I have both my computer volume up to 100, and the video spkr full blast, but the sound is still minimal

Someone with more expertise than me will no doubt take over. Just for starters, I would suspect that this is not a Firefox problem, probably not a browser problem. Do you have another browser you could try? Have you tried the sound on a different site e.g. on a story with sound on a newspaper site? If the earphones work but not the speakers there could be a problem with the speaker connections. Can you try playing a CD or DVD through your computer?
