For the last few days, whenever I close Firefox before logging out of my computer, it fails to reload these tabs the next time I start Firefox. I get the "Firefox could not restore the previous session" notice upon restart.

I believe it started after the 45.0. update, and running a refresh did not resolve it.

You should always ensure that you close Firefox properly before shutting down the computer to avoid corruption to files in the Firefox profile folder where Firefox stores your personal data or otherwise get dataloss like you experience.

Firefox may need more time than the OS grants to Firefox if you force the OS to close Firefox by shutting down the computer. You can consider to put the computer in hibernating state instead.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder if you want to backup your personal data.
