When I log into my account, 36 Thunderbird email accounts open up (all the same account, I only have one account). It is using over 1GB of RAM and is slowing my machine down. How do I reduce it to open only a single account please.

open the window, press F10 to see the main menu bar if it is not visible select Exit from the menu

You will have to repeat 36 times I am afraid.

Thanks Matt, that did enable me to reduce the number of accounts, but unfortunately it is still running with over a GB of RAM. Possibly an uninstall/re install is in order. Thanks again tho'.
