I updated Thunderbird from the previous version to v45.0. After that, all my address books and contacts are missing. I use online- as well as offline-address books. All are gone. Everything else seems to work fine. Luckily, the Compose-window still shows all email addresses using auto-complete in the TO-field. Please help or advise on how to recover the address books. I am using Windows 8.1 x64. Thank you in advance.

I solved the problem: The addons were not updated with Thunderbird. The extension MoreFuntionsforAddressBook disabled the address books somehow. After updatings this and all other extensions, the issue was solved. For the future, maybe Thunderbird could enforce the extensions to be updated as well if TB updates!? Thanks again. SOLVED !
