I am having problems sending and receiving emails.

This appears to only happen with certain companies. It also seems to be intermittent.

The messages are not going to my spam or junk folders.

My hosting company was kind enough to help me and we sent test emails back and forth wile he monitored my account. At the time my outgoing emails got delivered but my incoming emails did not show up in thunderbird but were delivered to my hosting company.

I have discussed this issue with two techs now and both are baffled how this could happen. Again they were kind enough to look into my thunderbird settings and everything looks correct as far as they could tell.

Note: in one of my email accounts I have a junk folder and another one I have a spam folder. Is this normal?

What's the account type - POP or IMAP?

Please post those settings what your hosting company says are the correct ones. Or post a link to a support site with the required settings.
