I'm using 46.0.1. I'm not getting any "update Java" messages, but I'm crashing or getting that 'not responding' thing over a dozen time a day. I'll go out for a couple of hours leaving my computer on and Firefox running, and come back to the crash report window, so it crashed while nothing was happening. Are others having this problem?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
