been using TB &FF for years- great SW! Recently TB(45.2.0) opens with error box stating [ script has stopped working... continue or stop...]. Then the TB window freezes (WIN 7). This continues for 15-45 mins and using Task Mngr I can close and restart which sometimes restores TB. Also I can hit the "[STOP]" (script) button or "[CONTINUE]" and get restore. Once it is restored it usually stays operational until a reboot of TB or system. The error dialog also provides the offending script which this time is: [Script: chrome://messenger/content/msgMail3PaneWindow.js:1985]

Any advice or help appreciated, Bob C. (azbobcat)

Most of the error about scripts are a direct cause of Anti virus programs scanning the mail store and slowing things to a crawl. Or Add-ons

Perhaps have a look here https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues

We might know something about your anti virus already.
