Hola Javi, are you using it unde Windows, GNU/Linux, or Mac?

May I ask you to start thunderbird on it's safe mode?

You need to execute this on your system's command line: thunderbird --safe-mode

Please refer to attached screenshot, there I show you how to do it under GNU/Linux. On that screenshot I am using icedove which is a derivate from thunderbird. You should just replace the word icedove with thunderbird.

Please keep us updated with the status of your issue, it is absolutely unrasonable that it takes so long to start; there must be something odd with your thunderbird or system setup, let's fix it!

Javier,

then you need to find the addon that's making your thunderbird slow and disable it. May be you'll be able to fix the addon setup, or to find a replacement for it.

¡Saludos!

Javier,

Which addon did you find to be causing the problem?
