Hi, when I try to write an email (every time!) I type around 3 or 4 lines of text and it then hangs (with the rotating blue ring) for about 20 to 30 seconds before disappearing off the screen. I can get the email back by going into the drafts folder and opening it from there. On re-typing I get exactly the same experience. I am on Win 10 (up to date). I found a reference to the use of VGA having this effect so I uninstalled it and am using Windows Defender - exactly the same experience. Any ideas?

Bruce - well, I tried sending a message and got 8 rows in without an issue. So - lets say this looks really, really, promising - but, obviously, one swallow does not make a spring! I have lots of confidence though!!!!!

I would have taken ages (if ever!) to find that - many thanks.

Looks like it could well be a solution. Will continue with that "unchecked" and let you know.

Thanks again for the help, very, very, much appreciated, Ian

I'm now a couple of days in and things look rosy. No issues with emails - thanks again for the help, regards, Ian
