I have just installed version 51.0b1 on a windows 10 pc. All incoming e-mails are marked as junk. If I try to mark a message as not junk, it disappears completely and does not get moved to any other folder.

The current release version of Thunderbird is 45.6. You have installed a beta version of Thunderbird.

Beta versions don't work properly yet, so unless you are a programmer or the developer, or are in contact with the developers and want to help them iron out problems with beta versions, you should not use a beta version.

OTOH, a broad blanket statement about beta isn't typically warranted. And we don't have a reported like that against beta.

However, average users DO have problems with junk mail on just regular releases.
