Hi, I downloaded the add-on “GProxy Tool” to Firefox, but it does not appear to be working.

GProxy is a Firefox add-on (tool bar and status bar icon) that helps users manage and switch proxy settings automatically. It supports GPass, FreeGate, UltraSurf, Garden, and other proxy systems.

When I choose any of the above proxy systems (e.g. GPass, or UltraSurf) , I receive the following message:

The proxy server is refusing connections Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. • Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct • Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working

Are there settings in Firefox that I need to change and if so how do I do this ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in responding.

I have contacted the Add-ons team within Mozilla and have been advised that it does not look like the independent developer that made this add-on is not planning to port their software to the new add-on infrastructure.

I recommend that you have a look at addons.mozilla.org for an alternative.
