how do i get to open a downloaded document please? i have been experiencing a backlash opening a document i downloaded using the mozilla application

each time i download using the firefox application, the document fails to open. actually i get to see it where the downloads are stored but right clicking on the document to initiate opening it just wouldn't pull through. please attending to this will assist a whole lot. thanks in anticipation for your reply

Where are you right-clicking? In Firefox's download list or in Windows Explorer?

Also, your Firefox identified itself to the forum as version 13.0.1, which is so old I can barely remember it. The current versions of Firefox are:
