Hi,

for several weeks I have the problem that images are not shown on twitter.com. How my feed looks now is shown in the attached picture.

I cleared cache and cookies several times, uninstalled an re-installed Firefox but nothing works. The problem also exists in Chrome and other browser but not Microsoft Edge (please don't make me use MS Edge).

Any help is highly appreciated.

If this is happening with all browsers then is not a Firefox issue. You have more problems.

Try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

Please check Win10 System --> About and if you are not at version 1803 please update to it via Update in Settings or by : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If are at 1803 please do this :

  • Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Copy/Paste the following command and press Enter:
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Reboot after.

Hi Pkshadow,

thank you for your reply.

Starting Firefox in Safe Mode did not work. Win10 is at version 1803. Pasting the command in the Command Prompt as an admin did not work either, unfortunately.

Maybe this helps: When I right click on a broken image to display it, I get the following error on a newly opened tab: "We can't connect to the server at pbs.twimg.com"
