Hi rprice28, I suggest using Preview or Adobe Reader/Acrobat to print PDF files. In general, that will give you better results. Firefox's PDF viewer has a little arrow on its toolbar to open the PDF in your preferred external viewer.

However, if you want to try to coax Firefox to print PDF files in the correct size:

Is the document size larger than your printer paper size? If yoou use the overflow menu icon at the right end of the PDF viewer's toolsbar and choose Document Properties, the size should be indicated there. It may be in mm instead of inches.

Normally Firefox will "shrink to fit" a printout, but this can be modified in the Page Setup dialog. On MacOS, you might be able to call that up from the File menu. In the Windows dialog, there is a box to set a scaling factor (e.g., 90 for 90%) and a checkbox to override that and shrink to fit. Does that setting make any difference?
