Disabled Add-Ons:

more options

Hi all,

I have a fresh install of FF 6.1 and have only three add-ons installed, which I trust implicitly:

No Script Ad Block Plus Google Analytics Opt-out

Each time I start the browser these add ons are not showing on my top right toolbar (90% of the time) so I have to restart/safe/disabled and then restart again with enabled.

All I want to do is have my browser start each time with these three add-ons enabled.

Thanks.

Resolved - a minor matter of my OS crashing and trashing again meant yet another factory reset, and a reinstall of software. My FF has been loaded the same, with the same add-ons, but no problems or issues now.

Cheers guys. A,

Hi, sometimes a fresh install is not so Fresh. The Stub Installer has done this a couple of times.

Hi, please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st:

then

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Ah - cheers for the quick response.

When I say fresh install what I mean is that my machine crashed over the weekend, I had to do a factory reset of my OS (Win 8.1) and then the long grind of installing all software from scratch, with the latest versions of everything and creating new profies.

I was using FF 57 (or something, but not the "new" FF) previously, as the "new" doesn't allow for many favourite add-ons, such as Scrapbook and AiOS, but I accept the new version and have let go of reliance on those add-ons that are not compatible.

This is a brand new FF install on effectively a new machine, and whilst the restart/disable/restart/enable works each time it is a bit of a bind.

Cheers. A.

Hi, the instructions for a Refresh worked once already tonight for the same issue.
