Can I migrate abook-n.mab (where n=integer) to a new Installetion of Thunderbird?

more options

We have an old installation of Thunderbird on a drive that is no longer bootable. We installed Thunderbird on a new drive and successfully moved the abook.mab file to the new installation. We still have abook-1.mab (plus -2, -3, & -4) we would like to bring over. Is that possible? Thanks, Mike

Chosen solution

Open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the preference extensions.strictCompatibility to toggle it to false, OK to close Options. You should now be able to install the add-on in TB 60 (working here).

Install MoreFunctionsForAddressBook, then in Address Book, Tools/MFFAB/Actions for addressbooks/Import addressbook from mab file.

To install, drag this link and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.

MoreFunctionsForAddressBook supports TB versions through 59 and we have 60. Any ideas other than removing this version and finding an earlier one? Thanks, Mike
